How should England go about developing spinners?

Sadly, that wouldn't work here with our climate. If we actually played more FC cricket in high summer, when it is largely warmer and drier that would help.
So isn't june to september isn't the warmest in UK? Even may was particularly chilly during the time I lived in UK.

Part of the reason Swann was so good was that he could really rip it. Most England spinners get very few revs on the ball. The offie/slow left armer can barely turn it usually. When kids are coming through they need to be taught to really, really turn it first of all.

We play until the end of September in the county championship. September can suit spinners but equally can be damp and the seamers cash in again.

Days are much shorter in September as well, so more of an issue with dew.

The Hundred is a pain in the arse for scheduling but it didn't work well before either. Scheduling of the first class game has been a perennial moan as far back as I can remember. Often large parts of June - August were taken up by the Blast beforehand anyway. But fwiw I'd have ten county games maximum and schedule late April/early May-July. Other tournaments can fit around it.
