How good could Zimbabwe be…

I think so , because he's in the Zim system taking lots of runs and wickets at domestic level
They've already been taken every opportunity to play him in their A side too, and he's done really well there. Important given the massive step up from the Logan Cup to international cricket.

Theoretically Brendan Taylor and Naqvi could both play against NZ but I don't know if Taylor has been forgiven. He has said he's willing to play if asked.

I don't mind about his past but he's a 40, hasn't played in four years and was already showing some mild signs of decline. I'd probably like to see some evidence that he can still actually bat first.

In most top tier countries that goes without saying but he has more than enough ability to contribute in some way considering the holes in this Zimbabwe team.

If he is open to it, I would maybe take expectations away to score runs from the get-go and give him the gloves. They probably about to go back to Madande for ****s sakes.

If they are going to get him back for NZL you would hope there is some communication so that he is in good physical condition otherwise then I agree, there is no point.

It's pretty disturbing just how many of Zimbabwe's best batsmen are 40. They're very lucky that Naqvi got recruited and Curran jumped on board.
