Trueman>Holding>Bumrah

Bumrah is the most skilled but serious durability issues, Holding vs Trueman is a Trueman win.

Going for Holding>Trueman>Bumrah for now but it might change to Bumrah as no 1 very soon for me, just after this series too possibly

Are you going greater and better career or just better?

As better was indeed the question, I'll go Bumrah, Holding, Trueman.

Lol it's kinda funny how Bumrah is the most skilled and the most modern of the three, and even with all the aid from modern sports science and fitness regime, he is by far the slowest. Almost like pacers don't actually get faster.

What I don't get is how he can be handled to the point that he's only playing 3 games.

If that's indeed the position where he is, that's a huge negative with regards to his legacy and overall final ranking.

It's the action, the way his body moves would probably put a normal person into hospital in a few months of trying that. Trueman and Holding in comparison have two of the greatest fast bowling actions (alongside Lillee, Lindwall) and thus the prior has much more durability than Bumrah

Durability can't be underrated. Especially if Bumrah is breaking down mid test or his performance seriously dips.

Obviously not a perfect measure for a few reasons but here’s something for pacers. % of tests played between debut and retirement

Walsh 92.96%
Ambrose 90.74%
Rabada 87.65%
Hadlee 86.00%
Pollock 81.82%
Wasim 79.39%
McGrath 78.98%
Waqar 78.38%
Donald 78.26%
Lindwall 78.21%
Davidson 77.19%
Marshall 76.42%
Garner 73.42%
Anderson 70.15%
Steyn 66.43%
Holding 65.22%
Bumrah 63.89%
Imran 63.77%
Roberts 63.51%
Lillee 59.83%
Trueman 55.83%
Cummins 48.94%

Walsh and Ambrose notably only missed 10 tests each in their entire careers. (so has Rabada)
