Have India failed to capitalize on Bumrah?

Bumrah is easily their greatest pacer ever. Yet surprisingly in his test career he has featured in more test losses than test victories.

Have India failed to fully capitalise on possibly the greatest bowler ever?

They have got the best out of him, the support cast just hasn't been good enough in most cases. Pre Gambhir, I don't think they could have much differently tbh. Since then, it's been a combination of idiotic team selections and below par performances.
The record is exaggerated though, by the fact that Bumrah plays all away games and has been rested for few home games, which basically didn't require him for India to take the win

I think they would be somewhat satisfied with two Aus victories with Bumrah but if I were an Indian fan I would have liked one victory in at least SA or England.

The 2021 series should really have been achieved tbh. Rain saved England in 1 game, and we threw away the 5th in the final inns.
In SA, with just how much our batting had declined, it was always going to be tough. But again, on paper, we might have been favts even. But, not to be. Yet I believe in my delusion that he plays 4 more years and we win at least 2/3 in Eng/Nz/Sa

I think this is his last series in Eng. Could be wrong.

India really should have won the 2021 SA series with Bumrah around.

It's mostly just bad luck I'd say.

But the rest of the bowlers seem not to be as aggressive maybe, when they're watching him. It's a strange phenomenon, I think the rest of the bowling in particular tends to underperform in recent Tests where he plays.

Yeah I did notice that. Almost like they feel more incentive to perform when he is not there.

Is Siraj too? Or does it only count for some? Should he just stop bowling for the rest of the match?
Both, they are both clearly falling apart, Sundar and Jadeja have looked more threatening yet they're persisting with them, it's insanely bad captaincy.

It seems like this England series may be the beginning of the end.
well, largely depends on what happens tommorrow, it'll be his last Test until South Africa all the way around December, can't see him play at the Oval giving how cooked he looked.

Yeah but he is coming off a long break here and can't finish three tests even with a test in between off. Clearly can't handle it.
