Something to cheer English cricket fans after their team's latest overseas fiasco.

Particularly worth seeing are the video clips of Hammond and Hutton after the 50 second mark; I don't think I have seen either before. Hammond in particular is magnificent; I can't think of any other batsman with his poise and authority. The Hutton clip shows him breaking Bradman's 334 world record en route to 364.

Can anyone identify the music? It's familiar but I can't place it. It does do a wonderful job of evoking nostalgia and years gone by.

 Chris Old, Gooch and Gower a bit out of place there!

Such a shame the way Grace suffers in that most all of the pictures of him show him in his 1890s and 1900s old-man time, and not the great athlete and phenominal batsman of the 1870s. Hammond, on the other hand, is remembered for his glory days.

Interesting how he tags it with Bob Willis... but doesn't mention him. Some good behind-the-arm footage of Trueman and Snow is the best thing there.

That music is like so many others TBH. Wouldn't know it at all.

Yeah, I think he should have stopped at around the 1960's in keeping with the mood. He should have added Barnes, Rhodes and Laker with an obvious video clip available for the latter.

Ken Barrington, Peter May, Dennis Compton, Ted Dexter, Eddrich and Statham are sorely missing.

Yes Jack Hobbs. Thanks for that I really enjoyed it. I wonder why the Aussies were wearing black arm bands?
Am amazed black-armbands is such a long-lasting tradition TBH, had never guessed it'd be something that went back so far.
