Franchise Cricket in England Domestic Season 2025

International Coach
Who'd have thought Topley would win a game with the bat?
To be fair, it was a decent game, although you wouldn't put much money on (C)Overton, Mills and Topley winning a game for you with the bat.

Crowd noticeably smaller in Manchester compared to Lord's, quite a few stands not even being used.

I would have thought that a reason why you don't get big crowds there is that Old Trafford is a dreadful place to get to (and out of) if you don't really feel that involved. Yes, I know that 75k or so go there for football, but that place is a nightmare to go to and get out of so if you don't feel that strongly you might well feel sod this for a game of soldiers.

Eh, it’s not?

Train to Piccadilly. Tram. No different to getting to Euston or whatever then St John’s Wood.

Pleased to see Rehan Ahmed hit a decent cameo, I’m sure we’ll see him in an England shirt this September in the white ball stuff. Two men perhaps with reason to feel aggrieved at their treatment by the England Test team combined for a comical wicket as Bethell charged out of his crease for a run that was never on and Sam Cook did well to run him out

At the Ova today. Superb ladies game that went right to the wire. Atrocious mens game as OI chased the target in half the balls.
