Salty. This is good payback for the 2021 wtc final when nz got to play in conditions that suit their players much more and even got a series in England a few weeks before the final that served as ideal preparation.

Only right that the most lucrative cricket nation starts to flex its muscles to get these advantages imo. Long live Jay Shah.

I'll freely admit the England final played into our hands, as it did for Australia. But that had nothing to do with our influence

And India are a better limited overs side than us, who deserved to win on the moon, Dubai or Lahore/Karachi, where this final should actually have been played.

Unless we get a warm up series, those conditions are still foreign - except for maybe some of the T20 guns for fire. I can't remember the last time we played ODIs in SA. Though I think we get some mid-year when w ego to Zimbabwe(?)

The WTC final host should rotate but always be neutral (so a host announced but every team's country has a neutral venue as backup if they are due to host and make the final).
