Final – India v New Zealand – Sunday, March 9 – Dubai

I think another 2 wickets needed before I get excited. Even Jadeja can win the game for India from here tbh

That tournament there were 3 games in the group stage. If you have a bad start and lose a couple you have no way back, whereas the 2011 World Cup there were 6 matches in a group so even with a couple of losses you could still progress

So no.
Yeah, and India can lose one early as well..... Just like every other team......

Geez, logged in to see what people are thinking about 2 quick wkts for NZ and it's all waffle about whether India should have played CT or not, which had been done to death over last few weeks
Rightly so too. This is like the $10000/month gym in NYC where they rack your weights for you, have dedicated spotters at every station, towel you down between sets, and make your food too.

Whatever it takes!!!
Shreyas Iyer has to put more into his groundshots straight down the ground. Just patting it back will mean the bowler or the midwicket will always come around. Gotta put a bit more behind those pushes to get the single.

So wish we'd got Ajaz on a flight to Dubai to be on standby for Henry.
After seeing how he bowled in that random T20 series in Bangladesh in 2021 (rank turners, 130 a winning score, BD won 3-2) always felt NZ missed a trick not including him in whiteball plans for the subcontinent. Fielding works against him for sure.

Iyer can seal the Indian captaincy if he sees his team through here

But NZ look favorites from here

He's looked very jittery out there but if NZ don't get him very soon, can see him winning it without fuss. India have a good pair out there for the situation. Think NZ could do more to pile on the pressure.

Another wicket here and the game would be a lot closer than it should've otherwise been.

Good to see NZ have embraced their inner #cheats by keeping the electric and younger Chapman on the field in place of old man Wlliamson
