Yk you are desperate when you resort to such quipson a spicy deck and consistently he won't be better than Carse or Woakes but has done well here. Better bowler than Kapil Dev tbh

not as Desperate as Nair must be right now, or India about to be bowled out under 500 after 420/3.Yk you are desperate when you resort to such quips
Guess stupidity is the other language you know beside English.on a spicy deck and consistently he won't be better than Carse or Woakes but has done well here. Better bowler than Kapil Dev tbh
Rude and mean.Guess stupidity is the other language you know beside English.
Sadly you haven't seen one play for England so you wouldn't know.
Explains his standard for a good English bowlerStokes is a good bowler
are we really going to **** on Stokes after he just bowled very well on a rawalpindi tier road??Explains his standard for a good English bowler
It depends, is Kallis a good bowler too?are we really going to **** on Stokes after he just bowled very well on a rawalpindi tier road??
Stokes is a better bowler than Kallis, but overall, Yeah I think Kallis is a decent bowler, remember some cracking deliveries from him.It depends, is Kallis a good bowler too?
Where do you rate Jardine as a batter?alright I think this went way off the rails, anyway I know Jardine is the best but voted Hutton anyway
about the same level as a 40-42 averaging bat, similar to Ian Chappell but slightly inferior with the bat alone.Where do you rate Jardine as a batter?
Think Jardine's a tier below Chappelli as a batabout the same level as a 40-42 averaging bat, similar to Ian Chappell but slightly inferior with the bat alone.
Your opinion doesn't matter.Think Jardine's a tier below Chappelli as a bat
Again, isn't tactician the most important aspect of captaincy though?Douglas Jardine
Len Hutton
Mike Brearley was a great tactician but I don't think he inspired his team the same way Jardine and Hutton did, nor did he develope Bodyline like Jardine, or led to the end of gentleman classification like Hutton
With potentially now overcast conditions. Will see about that when Bumrah gets the ball
Impacting the team's morale is, in my opinion, pretty important.Again, isn't tactician the most important aspect of captaincy though?
I'm sorry, but I've never bought the idea of inspirational captains or "coach clap" from the NFL perspective.
The best tacticians are the best captains (and coaches). If your role is to "inspire", that's less of a skill than a personality trait. Again, just my opinion.
Re the latter claim of the loss of the gentleman classification is an important in country change, like Worrell as the first full time black captain, or being able to unite the team (and boards), something everyone else struggled to do again untill Lloyd.
But does that make them great "drop in" captains? Take them to a county team and they're successful, or is that a very niche accomplishment.
They they are the captain who are tough or quite frankly bullies, and while that works under some scenarios, it wouldn't with everyone.
The transferable skill is being that tactician, so nothing to downplay IMHO.
What are you going to say if England gets bowled out for 320 or less? 260 even?he won't have to, Crawley would make 200 on this.

My reaction if that happensWhat are you going to say if England gets bowled out for 320 or less? 260 even?
Sounds like someone who watches team sports, but hasn’t played team sports.Again, isn't tactician the most important aspect of captaincy though?

Really? You have Stokes > Dev as a bowler?Well yeah.
