Well Sussex put up a fight but was always going to be a loss after losing 3 of their top 6 in the first 30 mins of play today.

We now drop to 11th and our heads on the relegation chopping board.

12 points adrift of Essex/Yorkshire, 13 adrift of Hampshire and likely 15 behind Hampshire unless they take 9 wickets in the final session.

I must admit I expected him to be in this squad seeing as he's only played 3 CC games this season.

Contracted.or not I would have thought that if we picked him he would be able to get some sort of pay-as-you-play type payment.

God what a depressing summer of cricket with England somehow snatching defeat from the jaws of victory and Durham are in a complete mess.

I’ve a feeling Campbell will be off at the end of the season. Something seems to be wrong behind the scenes with so many players not performing at levels we know they can.

I’d rather Campbell stayed and Marcus North was shown the door though.

Seeing this said about Marcus North a lot, but is it really as big as they’re making out? Campbell is still in charge of the dressing room and nothing much has changed on a player personnel perspective.

Good start in the ODC.

With regard to the CC I thought Worcestershire was our next game but in fact it’s Essex which is quite disappointing. Two must win games you’d say. Lose to Essex and it probably doesn’t matter what happens in our last two as we’re probably gone.

Effectively, swapping Killeen for Bailey. Never easy to lose 'one of your own'.
Yeah North and Bostock are not popular at all.

So many loan signings and pointless permanent bowlers brought in instead of playing our own.

Campbell probably didn't rate Killeen at the same time. But he is only 20 took a fifer in the CC and then didn't get picked again until the One Day cup. Done well in first 3 games but Essex had already swooped a month ago. Gave him 3 year deal on improved terms, while Durham offering him a 2 year on same terms. Can't blame the lad.

Durham defs losing their identity of championing local talent.

What planet was North on not giving Bedders a contract for this tournament.

Ridiculous innings from him. Well batted Leesy of course too and another good innings from Rhodes
