Quiet on here today 🙄

Anyway, not as detailed a report tonight, the draw looking like overwhelming favourite at this moment in time, especially with the injury to Doggett - we really can’t catch a break. However, Parky was getting some pretty big turn in that last session, so while we’ve still got a lead of more or less 400 to play with, there’s still a long way for Hampfrica to go to get to a position of safety.

Honourable mention once again to Clark, immense from him. Fantastic total, hopefully the scoreboard pressure gets the better of the hosts if we get an early one tomorrow.

I know I’m talking to myself, but just 17 wickets have fallen on this pitch in 3 days play, a terrible advert for the Championship. I thought when we had them 259-6 with a lead of 252 we had a chance to get after it tonight with the bat and set them a total. Unfortunately there’s now no chance of a Durham win, but the threat of a defeat if we capitulate on the Day 4 pitch. We’ll probably have to bat for the best part of two sessions to avoid that.

When you consider it’s a used pitch too, so today is the 7th day of cricket that has been played on it. Heap of ****ing shite.

Yeah - I've been half watching a couple of games at the same time on you-tube. Some real issues out there in the county game with the pitches.

The opposite problem at Grace Road, a super spicy pitch that seamed and offered variable bounce throughout. Which makes it all the more galling that we won the toss, put them in and then conceded 300+.

Its ludicrous to think we've gone from the minefield at Worcester to flat as a fart Southampton in the space of a week. As you say its a dreadful advert for the four day game.

Nothing at all to say about that one, but the lads now have best part of a fortnight off before we host Nottinghamshire.

Terrible game thanks to the pitch. Very difficult to watch at times.

I see that Sam Conners is now able to bowl in the 2nd XI game v Yorkshire down at Scarborough. He played in the last two games but only as a batsman so hopefully he's back to full fitness.

We need all the help we can get although this is probably a good time to be sitting out the next round of games starting tomorrow.

Squad of 14 for Notts

Ackermann
Bedingham
Carse
Clark
Conners
Drissell
Gay
Lees*
McKinney
Minto
Raine
Rhodes
Robinson+
Codi Yusuf

So Carse, Bedingham, Conners, & Minto all back.

We need a strong team to beat Notts so let's hope Campbell picks the right XI.

Tongue, O’Neil and Pennington all missing from the side that beat us on opening day, they’ve added Abbas to their ranks though, who I expect will cause us problems throughout.

Aidan11

International Captain
Durham win the toss and have Notts in to bat.

Bedingham not playing so I guess he's not quite ready yet.

Rhodes thankfully dropped. He's been poor.

Why we chose to field? Notts made a costly mistake doing that last season.

Wait and see but it's been a bat first at CLS for a while now unless overcast and green in early/end of season.

It looks as flat as a pancake and we’ve decided to field first 😂

Could be a long 4 days this. Just hope it stays flat and maybe we can get a big first innings score and pick up the required bonus points.

Been some awful pitches so far this season. Wonder if it’s the lack of rain? Even the Dukes doesn’t seem to be doing much on them.
