Dravid. The New Zealand attack was mainly just Bond and a bunch of 33+ averaging bowlers, Dravid faced a significantly stronger lineup with Anderson/Broad/Swann present all games.

England had a better all round attack. Chamara Silva had a big series in that same Sanga series too, so it wasn't really a one man show in the same way.

Maybe but Sanga played two near ATG knocks.

Dravid's Oval and Trentbridge knocks in particular were incredible and he was opening the batting on top of that.
Silva only scored in the 2nd Test. He had two ducks in the 1st. Anyway, an average batsman like Silva could have a great match, but that doesn’t take away from Sangakkara’s great performance in that series. Sanga was basically like Dravid, as he had to open since he often came in after the 2nd over due to early collapses. The pitches were extremely difficult to bat on; the average runs per wicket in that series was just 22.64.

It's far harder to counterattack like Sanga did on those pitches.

Nobody scored over 50 in the first test.

In the second test, he was critical is helping to win the game. He ensured Bond went at six a over.

Yeah, like I said earlier, the pitches in Sanga’s 2006 New Zealand series were really tough to bat on.

Dravid 2011 UK tour. Those duke balls swung like crazy.

Praveen Kumar was getting batsmen beaten for movement at 74 mph and took 15 wickets in 3 tests, now imagine facing Broad-Anderson-Bresnan who averaged 87 mph in that series.

iirc bowlers can get more movement at lower speeds. In fact I think there’s a whole discipline of bowling based on that

Yes, thats correct. But 87 mph is the golden spot, anything faster than that and it gets more difficult to achieve big swing.

Edit: Just had a look at the SL tour of NZ in 2006, and it was a 2 test series only. Besides the highest wicket takers were Murali and Vettori, haven't watched the series but I presume the conditions were not exactly windy with lots of swing that are associated with New Zealand.
