Do SENA Bowlers Deserve Extra Credit for Flat Pitch Performances?

Give the tendency of some posters on this board to reward Steyn and McGrath for flat era bowling records, is this fair given that we rarely do that contextualising for pacers in other eras and series where they may have faced such pitches and pacers in other countries?

Partly it's because McGrath and Steyn standout head and shoulders from their peers in the same conditions.

Nobody deserves credit for anything because people will complain that someone else isn’t getting enough credit and will make another thread on it.

It wasn't just the pitches. Early 2000s to mid 2010s had a ton of quality bats (especially at home). Other top quicks don't get this credit cos there aren't any from eras like this.

Batting quality, bowling quality, and pitches all played a role. Working out the degree of a role each played is kinda impossible.

We do normalize for bowling quality in our estimation of these two already though. Steyn would be the GOAT if we didn't.
