Trying to create a different kind of list here...the rule is simple the all-time best ODI XI can only feature one player from each country maximum...

My list (based on whatever cricket I have actually seen):

Quinton De Kock (wk)
Shivnarine Chanderpaul
Virat Kohli
Ricky Ponting (c)
Kumar Sangakarra
Sean Williams
Shakib Al Hasan

Viv at 3, De Villiers at 4 and Flower at 5 makes more sense to me but this looks pretty spot on

While for Tests I dislike Flower's keeping I think it's less of a problem in ODI's. Also with Flintoff being a middle order bat with a poor record lower down he effectively becomes a specialist bowler at 8. Hence i'd bring in Bairstow and McGrath for Flintoff and Gilchrist. Hadlee in for Bond to shore up the lower order a bit (don't think Bond is really any greater a ODI bowler anyway)

Tendulkar
Bairstow
Richards
De Villiers
Flower(wk)
Shakib
Ten Doeschate
Hadlee
Wasim
Murali
McGrath

Looks better to me

I figured picking Morgan for Ireland was cheating as he played over 90% of his games for England but if he's Ireland eligible I might make a couple of changes.
Don't like Streak's bowling record for the era he played the majority of his career.

Shakib Al Hasan and Rashid Khan are like obvious picks for most of the lists there...

So it is fair to say they are the best of all time for their respective countries....

For Zimbabwe we could argue between Heath Streak, Sean Williams and Andy Flower....but Sikander Raza and Craig Ervine can also come into contention...

Interesting pick of Morgan for Ireland...didn't see that coming...but I think that counts...would be an automatic choice if picked over a Zimbabwe, Afghanistan or a Bangladesh player...

Don't necessarily have to pick either a Zimbabwean or an Afghan if Morgan (Ire) is available. I'd probably still pick one or the other but I don't like Rashid's record against good opposition and particularly not World Cups for someone who would have to be my main spinner.

Iirc he had a fairly solid amount of time for Ireland?

It was cheeky but he is the best player available who technically qualifies, otherwise I'd try Stirling at 6 to bosh it.

Less than 3 years but i guess it's enough to help balance this side. The question is whether we should be judging the Ireland era Morgan (No half centuries against quality opposition and a record held together by performances against minnows) or whether to judge him on the Morgan he became when he played for England

Averaged under 15 when playing for Ireland against Test nations. Small sample size but there isn't a lot there
