County Cricket

I am going to london in a few years. So I want to know how difficult it is to make it to first class cricket and hence list a. And whether it is much more easier to make it to the minor counties...What would one have to do to achieve list a? Are there any members out there who play first class?

You'd have to be a pretty decent cricketer really.

A couple of guys I knew played Minor Counties (I think) for Devon and they weren't great players, just reasonable. But just playing the premier division in any area you might be up against some pretty decent players at some stages. Chris Rogers played premier league for a club in the Devon competition. And from what I understand, Devon and Cornwall are the weakest competitions in the country.

Mind you, it's a mix. You'll get Chris Rogers as one foreign player, and another guy who's not so great, all in the one comp.
