Don't really feel like playing AFL anymore, I want to focus on cricket. Done some searches on the internet but its not too promising...anyone know any places where theres atleast some semi-competitive winter cricket is played?

cheers

I'm not sure how serious you are about it, the standard you plan or how far you're willing to travel, but the Darwin cricket competition runs in winter. Originally because it was too hot to have it in the summer but they've found a lot of added benefits to that since then. A lot of fringe First Class cricketers end up playing in it just because it doesn't cross over with the Shield season or the other top club competitions in Australia; it gives them something to do over the off-season without heading to the UK or Holland.
