Shami at the world cup is just insane

18 matches. 55 wickets @ 13.52 and SR of 15.81

4 5-Fers and 4 4-Fers. A 4-Fer almost every 2nd match
Top 2 for sure, Almost as good as Starc (statistically slightly better, will keep Starc ahead only for winning the Cup twice. Had India won in 23, would keep Shami as equals)

Bumrah, he is just so tough to hit in death overs and is very good with new bowl too.

Shami is probably better with new bowl but much worse in death overs.

Bumrah might be the hardest bowler to hit while bowling full tosses.
Not only full tosses, he is probably hardest to hit. Skill of moving balls both ways with deadly yorker makes it hard, but I think his late release makes it harder.

To put it in context, WC teams are normally full strength and we see 300-350 kind of scores and yet see his ER.

I was talking about all time. Garner along with quite a few others definitely produced comparable amount of unplayable deliveries.

But don't think any bowler dominated batters while bowling full tosses.

In the 2024 IPL, he averaged somewhere close to 15 while maintaining an economy rate close to 5.7.

This is a bit unfair to the bowlers that played in 2015 which saw far higher scores than 2019 in particular.

Rabada and Woakes are a bit behind. If Archer had been fit he could've been up in the top group.

Edit - forgot about the Fizz. He's better than Rabada and Woakes
