Brian Booth has passed away

the big bambino

International Captain
Played hockey internationally too. Some lovely stories told about him and it was interesting to read how Booth and his team mates not only accepted each other's values but managed to build friendships as well. Booth singling out Keith Miller and his ability in bringing people together.

I didn't know the circumstances of his dropping from the Australian team but if you wonder how Bradman could drop Bill Lawry he made the precedent with Booth. Very good batting average too and he did well against 2 of the 3 strongest sides of his era (England and SA) though missing out somewhat v WI.
