Except Botham was deemed that good because he did actually bat at 6 most of his career. Jadeja didn't because folks knew he wasn't as good until the last 3, 4 years, and that perception continues now which is why you won't put the same standards on him.

Botham was Frontline good for a decade.

Botham played 1 test in Pakistan. Perhaps bother to look at that when you do your average reading.

Botham was actually very good in NZ vs Hadlee. More impressive than Jadeja in Aus.

I won't consider Jadeja's record in Australia a problem even if he was Rahane. The double standard is really on your behalf. I ain't expecting World Class numbers from both, hence I don't have a problem with Botham against Australia as well.

So the same as Jadeja in SA...... Which you have mentioned dozens of times.

Not as much as Jadeja in England though. Never a Series as good as this one either

Jadeja is neither expected to bat 1/2/3/4/5 nor he has batted. It does not make any sense to talk about top 6 as a group for par avg when discussing Jadeja.

Jadeja averages 42 from 2016 onwards. He is frontline good for 10 years now. Botham was for 10. Also btw, Jadeja averages a small 22 runs more at 6.
I am literally putting the same standards on both though. Hence rating Botham to Australia handsomely and not trying to sweep his WI record under rug. Botham's overall record isn't that good, no matter what nonsense you sprew up now.

I am near 100 percent sure if I asked you in 2018/2019 if Jadeja should bat in the top six, your answer would be no.

Yet you will also say that Jadeja should not be judged by conventional batting standards. You're all over the place.

Never replied to the fact Jadeja averages 22 more at 6. Also, you kinda ignored 1 place batting pos difference is very much for the available keeper. Jadeja will bat ahead of Knott, let alone Taylor. Botham won't of Dhoni, let alone Pant

Yes that Botham most of his career was solidly good and then dropped at the end.

Yes as I have stated Jadeja at no.6 has been almost exclusively at the time of last three four years when I consider him specialist quality. But not overall because it's a fraction of overall innings.

No I gave minor wins to Jadeja for that. But I explained why I don't consider them clinchers.

As usual you don't like that and are having an emotional reaction.
