Smith does some amazing things but he dropped a few catches at slip this year

De Villiers by a long way. Smith takes some spectacular catches, but in terms of getting to the ball, ground fielding, and throwing etc, AB is much better. I'd put Smith behind Maxwell and Warner as a complete fielder, while AB would be in the top tier of fielders of the last 30 years (up with the likes of Jonty, Harris, Gibbs, Collingwood, Ponting, Clarke, Symonds, Guptill, Maxwell, Jadeja, Jordan, Stokes, Phillips etc).

Maxwell's fielding is so overrated

Probably the best Australian fielder since Michael Clarke or perhaps Ponting. His batting is overrated, his fielding is fairly rated (in the top half dozen in the world), and his bowling is underrated.

I think that run out gets over rated a little as he was just throwing and hoping for the best. It's still an impressive achievement to be able to throw the ball like that, but there was some luck involved.
