Every time the Aus team does badly it leads to threads like this one, and it always manages to annoy me more than the team doing badly itself

In times of need the Aussies need to be looking towards England, and what they did in their darker days - raid the South African player pool.

Alan Davidson ahead of Keith Miller is a big call...

In the here and now, the players dragging the Aussies down the most are SMarsh (2 scores over 50 in 19 innings this year), and MMarsh (averaging 20 with the bat and 60 with the ball, would be great if he could swap those two...) and that has been the case for some time now... The biggest question is who replaces them, as Aussie batting depth has looked poor since about the time they dragged Doolan out the cupboard.

Aussies have Labuschagne and Neser (both moved over as children though). Apparently we offered them Corbyn Bosch, but despite bowling near 150 (which I thought was the main fast bowling criterion in Australia), they didn't want him. Post-isolation, unlike England or NZ, going to Oz has not been an assured to cricketing glory though. Speak to Murray Creed about that (came into EP side about the same time as Kemp, vied for same role of number 6/4th bowler unsuccessfully...)
