I'm a bit stunned by the result so far.
They are equal in batting while Shakib is a LONG way ahead in bowling. Does captaincy make that much of a difference?

I do think Jadeja is a level above them all. Quite a few in this forum under-rate him a lot but he proves time and again how valuable he is.

On batting,
Stokes>Jadeja=Shakib>Holder

The difference in batting between Stokes and Jadeja is not as much as many here think. Yes, Stokes gets scintillating centuries but Jadeja is much more consistent than Stokes. There are very few innings that Jadeja fails to score above 30.

On bowling,
Jadeja>Shakib>Holder>>Stokes

Jadeja is probably in the same tier as Miller and Botham

Huge summer ahead for Cam Green. Potentially he could be the best allrounder since Kallis, but struggled in England and may have fallen behind M Marsh in the Aussie set up.

Likewise, it will be interesting to see if Ravindra cracks test cricket as a top order batting allrounder, and if Kyle Mayers can with the bat perform against stronger bowling attacks.

Also, if he plays, can Woakes learn to bowl overseas?

Al Hasan is arguably the most over rated cricketer in the history of the game. He is bog average at best. He's the leading player from a country which has barely produced a 2nd XI standard player other than himself. He stands out because he's the cricketing equivalent of a midfield city runner in what is otherwise a midweek at Kembla Grange field made up of his compatriots. He's barely worth a squirt of piss.

I rate Green highly as a batsman but is his bowling good enough to be potentially rated as best after Kallis? So far, he doesn't regularly bowl long spells in each innings and also, has just 30 wickets in 24 matches which is only just above a wicket per match.

Shakib vs Root/Jayawardene might be a good comparison

ATM I'd be happy if Green stayed on the park and managed to rotate the strike occasionally when he's batting.
