True

Stokes has taken 52 wickets in last 43 matches and he bowls an average of 10 overs per match.
He was bowling pretty decently in last couple of matches. He could have a chance with some stat-padded wickets that he got in the 2nd test vs NZ.

Stokes should start emphasizing on his bowling more than his batting. He'll get to 8000 runs no matter how sh8t he bats. should go for the 300 wickets mark. That'll make his reputation go much higher.

@Johan how highly is Stokes rated in England? Higher than Flintoff you'd reckon?

Stokes has played 110 tess in 11 years. That'd be 11 tests per year. If he plays for another 3 years at 8 tests per year, he'll play 24 more tests. His RPM is 61.08. If he scored at 55 RPM in his remaining tests, he should score 1320 more runs, So he should end up with 8000+ runs.

Now if he bowls more regularly, and take 3.75 wickets per match, he could potentially become the first cricketer to get 8000 runs and 300 wickets. Things should be much easier for him, as England is a tests spammer and he should get more than 9/10 tests per year. Then a WPM of 3 could take him to 300 wickets.

Nice.
That’s a ridiculous if. Even 3 WPM is a ridiculous if. He’s only managed that once in a calendar year (2014). Twice in a single season (2014, 2018)

Not that it means much.
But statistically he is correct.
To my shocking surprise in away conditions :
Jadeja has a better average as a batsman
Stokes has a better average as a bowler
I mean, home conditions surely have a big part to play here. Away from home, jadeja is a batting AR

It means in home conditions, Jadeja is a lethal bowler and well above Stokes who also is a good bowler for home conditions.

Away from home, he is bits and pieces bowler and even worse than Stokes who himself is bits and pieces.
