No, because Jimmy Anderson wasn't a bat, now if you ask Cricketer that's another matter.4

Jimmy Anderson must be a better test bat than Barry (and better than Joe too).
Anderson ahead of Barnes at least? No, because Jimmy Anderson wasn't a bat, now if you ask Cricketer that's another matter.
No, because Barnes had a test career expanding years and is more than proven on the highest level.Anderson ahead of Barnes at least?
One scored 508 runs in his career. Another scored has more than that multiple times in just one series.Just that one played so much more on the highest level it's hard to compare.
And he's pointing out that it's a silly argument. No, because Jimmy Anderson wasn't a bat, now if you ask Cricketer that's another matter.
Brilliant point. One scored 508 runs in his career. Another scored has more than that multiple times in just one series.
And he's pointing out that it's a silly argument.
also, I didn't say Root is better because of how much he played, just that one played so much more on the highest level it's hard to compare.
They do not want to, that's why.If you want to rate Richards you don't base that on his test record, come on.
all the highlighted comments are ones Root is very debateable with, don't like commenting on Border or Waugh.Root not or top 10 yet but he at least had a test career unlike Barry Richards who could have been the greatest test opener of all time (or not)
