about 20 years ago when I was 11,playing a bit of tennis ball cricket at my school in Brisbane,I once knocked 310 runs over 4 lunch times...no-one could get me out..until I hit one and some guy who happened to be walking passed(and not playing) happened to catch it and I was given out....couldnt beleive it.
I was going for Sobers record score (at that time) as well...I am still bitter about that

Unbelievable Bowling

I have two instances of incredible bowling figures against a quality batsman. When you consider that I'm a keeper, this is even more incredible.

Ex.1. With me as Zimbabwe as my friend as Sth Africa. On came the legspining quality of Paul Strang.
In 5 balls Sth Africa fell from 5/97 to 97 a/o. Paul Strang
Overs 0.5 Maidens 0.5 Runs 0 Wickets 5

Ex.2. We played a backyard match, the follow on was 25 runs difference. I made 10/36, not a great score, at least until I took 10/3 in his first innings assuming the form of Andrew Symonds.
Enter his second innings, where the assumed Symonds took 10/12. Match figures 20/15 after making 22 of the 36.

well just recently - infact not long after my 19 birthday, after 9 years of compotetion, i scored the first ever double century in the BCBBYC - butler clark baker backyard cricket. 3 of us, 1 one 1. 10 overs 3 wickets. the pitch is increadably short with a long run up. it. to bring up the double century i nearly brought down my mates tv aerial.

best ever match for me was when i hit 72 of the last 12 balls to win the 2000 championship. my mate got his back the next year. 6 wickets in 6 balls to clinch the final.

Once a couple of years ago in a 1 on 1 game of backyard cricket i scored about 50 runs off a ball but got run out

my m8 bowled it and i slogged the tennis ball straight in the air through an upstairs back window i play the 6 and out rule but the ball was not over the fence so mym8 had 2 get it and i started running
he must hav some trouble finding it as i was able to complete about 50 runs
but then while turnin back i saw him throw the ball perfectly accurately from the window knockin off my bails with me standin helplessly in the middle of the garden
i ened up winning that game 129-99

had a stunner on the weekend. playing my mate i batted first and got 220 off 14.1, all out (3 wickets 15 overs). he then got 197 off 14.5 )he gets 5 wickets) then the ran started to fall, we were playing on concrette and the ball started to skid amazingly. i lost my first two wickets of my first two balls, but my tall wagged and i was eventually out for 89, leaving him 112 to win. he got off to a slightly better start 10-1 off the first. i looked to be in the **** at 109-2 but pulled out a hattrick to win by 3, and a dozen beer :D

Cricketer Of The Year
My friend and I just played out a 3-test and 5 OD series. 30 balls per innings in a test. 20 balls per innings one-dayer and 3 wickets to lose. I won the tests 3-0 and the OD's 3-1. Amazingly they virtually all went down to the last ball. He needed three off the last ball and missed it, i needed three off the last ball, steped away and smacked in through point for 3. I needed 3 off 2 in a one dayer, 1 wicket in hand, popped it wide of the bowler, bowler got to it on the full courtesy of a dive, fingertips knocked it away I ran 3 as the ball rolled down the hill

Just today...the second test we used a tennis ball because the good plasticy rubbery one we had disappeared next door (we later found it about 20 meters wide of where it would have landed in our yard). I hit 3/20 in the first innings. He went on to hit 2/52. Needing a mammoth 33 to make him bat again I felt hopelessly doomed. I hit 18 off the first over and ended up with 2/69. He fell 12 runs short with a whole 14 balls left to bowl. Michael Bevan eat your heart out, that's got to be one of the finest comebacks ever

My firend (James 90 and yes i am the one in his last post) and I came out one hot summers day toplay a one dayer. I won the toss and elected to bat. I took my stance for what prove was going to be a beautiful day of cricket. First ball, I spooned it back to James for what was an easy catch. I thought that was alright another 2 wickets left. Nathan Astle stepped up (it was a round robin so i ended up with New Zealand). Boje found the edge and i was 2/0 off 2 balls. Boje then had the chance to wrap up the innings, all out for 5. I drove it back to him set off to run and James missed the stumps. Chris Cairns then went on to hit 33* which to the day remains the highest score in 20-ball cricket.

i had a great game the other day. I'm 16 and my little bro is 13 but he's good competition especially with a half taped tennis ball. Anyway our pitch is probably about 1/2 length with the off side boundary about 9-10m away with the leg side one about 15. This was a test match as well (10wkts all the proper stuff):
My 1st innings i made 152 after being 5/120 my lower fell apart.

His 1st Innings he made 200. He batted well and i was looking in trouble.

My 2nd Innings trailing by 48 runs i made 292 smashing him all over the park. i was now fealing confident about a healthy victory.

His 2nd Innings Needing 245 to win He was cruising at 2/150. Then a collapse led to him being 8/230. This was really looking tight. The light was fading but no-one was goin' anywhere, this was bein' finish tonight. He worked his way to 8/243 needing 1 to tie and 2 to win. He pushed one through the covers and took off. He made and 1 and came back for the 2nd. i'm not an accurate throw but this was my day, BANG! direct hit and he was wellll short. 9/244. The next 5 balls were dot balls and the pressure was building. The mozzies were now out in force. I thought i'd bounce him then give him a slower ball. The bouncer hit him in the head and he fell over. I bowled the slower down hoping for the best and crack i heard the ball hit the bat and then the ball hit my shoulder. I turned around in time to dive to my left and grasp it 1 handed. A Tie and easily the greatest game we've ever played.

No-one belives the catch buts its dead-set true. Little bro was Mighty P***ed!
