Australian cricket in limbo?

Cricketer Of The Year
Jeez, one bad series in 2 years...
Really? Look; you can pick that cherry if you like. I mean it might look comparatively good but its still growing a mouldy beard. We've been shyte since the last ashes and for a good period leading up to it.

Yep we've flummed a win here and a series there. But if you think thats any indicator of how well we'd go against an arced up England then you're a funny guy. A tough series against India in their parks would tell us how good we're travelling and atm we're looking like road kill. You know Harby said they'd win 4 blot and in my fears I agreed with him. Well its looking less of a joke as time goes on. This series is telling us the truth about our "re building" process beyond the mighty Argus review.

I've got a feeling we'll go very close in the Ashes IF selection is done properly...
No we won't especially with the kind of comprises we are making with our playing XI at this point of time, we have no stability in our team and probably apart from Clarke every member of the current squad plays with a sense of insecurity and with these sort of problems its pretty hard to develop a consistent side.

When one has a look at England and South Africa who have been without doubt two of the most consistent sides in world cricket over the last few years, one would notice that both these teams have had a stable core of players over this period of time, its not as if these teams haven't had injuries or players with inconsistent form but the difference is they had selectors who showed faith in their selections and gave all their players a comfort zone to flourish in.

When you compare that to Australia you would realise that in the Australian team you either have to score a century or take a five-for in the couple of opportunities you are provided with, and failing to do so could mean you never play international cricket ever again, if that wasn't bad enough you also need to be in the good books of your selectors otherwise you would be dumped and ignored without any rhyme or reason.
