Also for the love of god please let/make Smith play some shield cricket. He's played all of three non-test FC games since his ban. I think it would do him a world of good to face a lot of balls and find some rhythm. Total waste of energy to play him him in some meaningless ODIs when there's guys like McDermott and Turner that need more of a look at before the next World Cup.

I actually love that but definitely a proper bowler short, even assuming Green can be a full bowler

If they were all injured and the best other option we had was Neser then I'd day go for it, pick Mitch Marsh as your 3rd quick

I'm paraphrasing what Rogers said here. But yeah I'd leave out MMarsh for an actual second spinner as well. If you're that desperate for bowlers who can bat, then I guess you can pick Agar instead of Swepson.

The only reason I'm a fan of that Rogers side is Maxy and MMarsh are super hot right now and 2 of my favourite players. It's not really practical though

Between the pitches and the state of both batting lineups you might not get many innings that are above 300 in the first place, on either side

if you think it’s gonna turn, and you wanna bat deep, surely you at least play a (sort of) proper second spinner. Not sure what Marsh’s bowling will add that Cummins and Green can’t do, and if you want a real seamer with Cummins, pick Starc or Boland. Starc will add as much as Marsh with the bat anyhow, and be far better with the ball.
