In the lead up to next month's series between the Aussies and South Africans, this draft will consist only of players who played in a Test between Australia and South Africa (except Bradman).
I will break the history of Tests between the 2 nations into 11 different time periods, each of 2 or 3 series (see below) and your final XI must have 1 distinct player for each period.
The usual draft vote will occur at the end.
The twist for this draft is will be that you will be rewarded for picking players who have performed in head to head matches between the two sides. Each player will be assigned points as such:
• 1 point for every 100 or 5WI
• An additional point for a 200 or 10WM
• 1 point for every 10 catches+stumpings in total
• 1 point for every 5 runs over 35 for their batting average (up to a max of 6)
• 1 point for every 4 runs under 35 for their bowling average (min 1 wkt/match)
• 1 point for every series win
• -1 point for every series loss
The first round will be a free for all at a designated time. After that, the round order will be determined by whichever team has the most total points.
Aiming for 10 or so players but flexible with this.
