Definitely possible. He definitely bowled 93-94 mph imo.
A pacer bowling 95mph in 1950s would be scary.

I believe Larwood also bowled 150 kph.Definitely possible.

Lol he doesn't believe his own arguments he is making in this thread. They are meant to not be taken seriously.Thanks. That sounds very CW.
Johan does touch on a few valid points though. (1) Many people don't adjust for era when rating players. (2) Bowling speeds are typically exaggerated, and moreso when speed guns weren't commonplace. (3) Cricket didn't magically go up a gear in 1918 or 1970 and they're used as convenient separation dates overly often.
wait, what argument do you think I don't believe in.Lol he doesn't believe his own arguments he is making in this thread. They are meant to not be taken seriously.
That pacers before were 10MPH behind those of today.wait, what argument do you think I don't believe in.
Why notThat pacers before were 10MPH behind those of today.
Wait you actually believe that? Lol.Why not
I'll leave that as a multiple choice question, but if one believes in sports evolution, I can't really see how you can conclude 1970s bowlers aren't massively slower than today, especially since you've strong evidence.Wait you actually believe that? Lol.
Maybe you should state what you actually believe because trying to post sarcastically is confusing folks on this thread.but if one believes in sports evolution
Personal belief is level and quality stagnation since golden age provided the balance of bat and ball that resembles the modern game. Personal belief is also that if one is to believe in sports evolution, which I'll admit, has strong basis for it, than the gap between a fast bowler from 1975 and 2025 would be much greater than the gap between a fast bowler between 1925 and 1975, as the game has had more transformations in the five decades right before us than the five decades that came before 1975. So if one is to go in from the perspective of sports evolution, the gap between the pace of say, Mitchell Starc and Dennis Lillee would be much, much greater than whatever percieved gap people have between Ted McDonald and Dennis Lillee.Maybe you should state what you actually believe because trying to post sarcastically is confusing folks on this thread.
This isn't personal belief. This is you being disingenuous.Personal belief is also that if one is to believe
No, this is me demanding intellectual consistency. This isn't personal belief. This is you being disingenuous.
I don't want your demands. I am asking your personal belief. No, this is me demanding intellectual consistency.
