The normal awards that everyone else has
Kapil is an interesting one.

You look at his bowling stats overall and they look a bit meh.

But then you look at his average in Aust (24) and in the WI (25) and you realise the guy could bowl well, but was severely hampered by playing so many tests in India.

Guy was a seriously good bat as well. Orthodox and powerful. Probably never took his batting as seriously as he might have.

Certainly an ATG imo

His bowling was worse away though. And I don't put too much stock in doing well against one or two specific opponents, even if they happened (in one case) to be very good ones. He failed in England where you'd think conditions might suit his style best.

ATG allrounder yes, but as a bowler some way off.
