Dude when you explained to me, I realised that Jadejas batting has clearly overcome their bowling difference by now.

That's my entire rationale for this thread, seeing if others agree that Jadeja is ahead of Ashwin for this side. Not some agenda.
Yeah I said that line to you in a positive sense only. Am happy that you agreed to it.

Gavaskar Sehwag Dravid Sachin Kohli Pant Kapil Bumrah are more or less locks in India atg side. Kapil at 7 in an atg side looks too high to me. So the open slots are 7, 9 and 10 only. 10 goes to the third pacer (one of Shami, Zaheer or Srinath). So open slots are only 7 and 9. Laxman and Jadeja compete for number 7 slot. Ashwin and Kumble compete for number 9 slot. To me, Jaddu and Ash win these battles but it can differ as per each's Pov.

You don't need a pure batter at 7

You shouldn't pretend like this isn't an agenda either though. Makes you even more dishonest when you cite such threads in other discussions.
What's the agenda? Just diss Jadeja for kicks? I have no passionate response to him positively or negatively.

With Ashwin, Kallis yes I was more strident because I was arguing some fundamental difference in philosophy of cricket.

Also, Kumble was not a good fielder too. Apart from Kapil, Jadeja will the world class fielder in that side. Dravid and Sachin are safe catchers though.

Again, it could've gone either way still. The home pitches weren't much flatter for Kumble, and the 'away' (for you) pitches were a lot better for fast bowling when Ashwin/Jadeja played than they were for Kumble.
The away pitches were not notably different in advantage overall if we take all of their periods.

There seems to be a fallacy that Ashwin and Jadeja just played on rank turners at home. That may be the case since 2020, and the occasional single test in a series, but those pitches till about 2020 weren’t rank turners at all. India was regularly putting up 400-600 type scores on these. ****ing Karun Nair got a triple century in one.
There was also one whole year where the pacers took more wickets, at a better average, than the spinners did.

Ashwin significantly outperforms Jadeja on those type of pitches.

But they were generally turning wickets moreso than a decade prior.

You promote/demote players all the time for kicks lol. Don't pretend like this is any different for you or that it's about something profound.
