All spinners' records in NZ vs India/Bangladesh/Pakistan/Sri Lanka Tests in NZ since March 2015: https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/e...6;team=7;team=8;template=results;type=bowling

18 Tests, 67 wickets at avg of 55.59, SR of 94.8

Pretty ****ing wild lol.
 I thought it was quite well established here that we play SC teams at Hagley for the lolz.

But I do reckon there is some element of bad luck rather than wilful menace against touring sides. The difference between "spin isn't real" pitches and "oh wait, spin actually is real" pitches (there doesn't appear to be a middle ground) is about as weather-dependent as it is groundsman-dependent. There's also some element of SENAW sides being better equipped with bowling plans and tactical usage of spinners in largely unfriendly conditions, and most importantly selection. Not trying to explain away the whole difference here, which is obviously far above what hb is accusing NZC of anyway, but there are a few incremental factors that chip away steady as she goes at this amazing statistic.

No amount of home wickets can make Ashwin an ATG spinner. He doesn't suddenly become an ATG spinner now when he has done nothing different from when he took 300 wickets and 400 wickets.

Let's hope he takes a fifer in SENA this next cycle.

Have you tried bowling better then?

Hagley and The Basin are Hagley and The Basin. They don't change much. Anyone who watches the games and the often 5 seamers NZ pick can attest to it.
Your own spin bowlers are even worse in that case. Like what the **** are you on here?

India does this very thing with spinners from SENA nations and spinners from Asian/WI teams lol, it's a thing, deal with it. NZ do pitch doctor and make anti-spin wickets, end of discussion.

Massive cope to be honest when the simplest explanation is right there.
Lyon winning games in NZ and showing Ashwin how it's done...
Subzi beta seeing a stat and going all in on Indian players for being Indian players...

Questions to answer tbh, just like Root, Stokes and Kuggeleijn...

I don't care fr it's the aggression that makes is great. Like the bazball of posting.
I would like to give credit to Ben Stokes, for inspiring me to such heights. (This is an automated message to ensure Ben Duckett gets no credit, thank you.)

Whatever helps you little buddy. Hagley Oval in particular suits Aus and SA more than it suits NZ, and NZ have played both and lost to both on Hagley decks that have cannoned off the good length. Have you not watched the 2016 test v Australia?

Come in the holidays and you will get the Mount. NZC would love the money. Very simple.

From actually watching the games India plays here, their biggest issue regarding spin is they pick sidespinners like mid career Jadeja and not overspinners like Lyon. Jadeja skids on nicely in NZ if he's not on his game.

Side vs over spin doesn't explain the disparity, sorry.

Ashwin's control over release and seam angles is something else. His issue frustratingly still remains an eagerness to overexperiment and spearing the ball in once he gets some tap or even just in general. He looks immensely more threatening between 85 and 90 kmph.

Not sure why it's a complaint, observation, or even a passing thought that NZ should give us the kind of wickets they give others. They're being smart and playing to their relative/perceived advantages, just like we do when teams come to India. Heck I wouldn't mind them outright claiming that they're trying to **** us over. Winning in the face of that would be sweet.

No one has raised it as anything other than a point to be considered when rating Ashwin. Subzi just cant handle the fact that Ash is an ATG test cricketer, bowler and spinner. Sucks to suck and sucks harder to be subzi.

At this point, Ashwin is undisputedly the third best after Murali and Warne, except in the eyes of Subz and a few people like to fetishise the 1930s
Based on what? What is the new thing he has brought to the table to justify this? More home wickets?
