It was my thought that it is an expedient way to earn a lot of money for a few tournaments while not being tied down to an IPL that may no longer feel that they need him. I mean Kieron Pollard still gets to play Franchise Cricket across the world a fair few years after MI decided he no longer cut the mustard.
