Ha!

Feeling that I've lost a lot of tosses this season, I Excelled it up...

Code:
             BT20 F-BT20 Cup FC F-OD OD P/O Total
Tosses Lost 4 4 5 12 5 6 1 37
Tosses Won 4 0 2 2 0 8 16
That's a WHOPPING 12 FC tosses lost out of 14! As those are the matches I really care about, that'll be why I've felt so miffed about it.

The surprise is that I've lost the toss in EVERY friendly I've played this season, including all my CW Cup matches. What are the chances of that?!

Reckon I should start choosing tails rather than leaving it at heads ;)

Well, as a prior probability it's 0.5^5 = 1/32, but because of the way you're looking at it (i.e. after the fact, as one of a number of stats), there's actually a much better chance that at least one of your breakdowns would've shown that sort of streak. There's just under a 10% chance of getting an overall season stat as bad as yours or worse.

I laugh in the face of rhetorical questions.

And Noel Edmonds, I hate his face too.

Edit: actually I completely badgered that 10% figure. Was misreading the totals. Should be more like 2.5%, so you're unluckier than I thought.

Figured it'd be something like that. Probabilities are always much higher than you think when you lump several things together. As evidenced by the overall ration being not much over 2:1.

Whenuapai CC 213/0
Duggan 113*, Janes 93*

Surprised at the scale of the victory this season. 3-0 to Whenuapai now, but surely next season Anchormen will go a lot closer. Jason Duggan also made it 3/3 in the Man of the Match stakes, but I've got an incling that Ranjet is set to claim this next season, just.

One nice pop for Pead. Might stop training him about there if a fun-looking trainee comes along...

On another note, having scouted out my div III, I have come to the conclusion that I am going to get utterly destroyed this season. Either that or my luck from last season will have to reach near god-like proportions. Am not really willing to entertain the possibility that I'm the reincarnation of a minor Hindu deity, though, as I have far too few arms.

As much as I love to join the Nibbs bashing I can't see Cramer or my newest trainee (see below) being much better at the same stage. It what they look like when they are finished what counts not when they are 19.
