Underwood was almost as bad in WI and Pakistan as Ashwin in SENA, plus Ashwin was just light-years better at home (Underwood's WPM is even lower at home).

And Underwood did benefit from uncovered pitches. Dude's WPM was 4 in his first 25 matches, which dropped to 3.2 in his remaining 61 matches, and average went from 19.96 to 29. So, it's not really that accurate to say he wasn't condition dependent.
