And that makes sense.... Considering for at least the first 50 years or so of test cricket, FC cricket was just as, if not more important than test cricket for players of the time

They shouldn't make it either. But those guys still had much better test careers than Kambli besides Barry whose inclusion is questionable. Compton I can get behind somewhat even though there are about 5-10 batsman ahead of him besides Miandad but Ranji is a hipster pick.

I’m just following that specific train of logic from another poster. As far as I was aware, the general rule of CC and PC is test format, unless otherwise specified… please let me know if that’s changed…. I’ll also note the XI’s for various countries were for some reason limited to only test playing nations… hmm….
