A question about conditions

Does the sim make substitutions if you don't tell it to? I'm just wondering (because this is my first experience with this sim) because you could put in your conditions to sub a player off at a certain time, and they could be your best scorer or best defender at the time.

If you don't specify anything, the sim will only substitute players if they are injured.

But if you've taken the risk in naming a particular substitution, it means you are actually disregarding the situation of the match, and you want that particular player off, no wonder how well/bad he's performed.
