WI vs Aus Ticket Price Controversy

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere as I have not been around here for a very long time. Felt compelled to write about this though as it makes no sense to me.

I live in Barbados. Ticket prices for CARICOM citizens for the first test are $7 USD per day. For non-CARICOM citizens it is $100! Same stand. Same seats. Regular seats. Nothing special.

Can a small mark up be justified? Perhaps. Can +10x? Absolutely not.

There are unhappy people who think they are being taken advantage of. Especially for a game that will have a small crowd.

Anyway, needed to get my confusion at WICB logic off my chest.

Not much different from most things on the island.

There's different prices for attractions, restaurants, anything tourism leaning. But yeah, looks explotive.

That's terrible and is ripping off Aussie tourists.
On a personal note, as a resident (but not citizen) in the Windies, can you get a discount? It is about $30-$40 NZD (about US $18-$25) for an adult for a day at a test here, which is pretty good imo.

The highest English wicket taker. The test lasted 2 and half days they beat us. Blackwood got some runs. Lots of supporters missed the record wicket as there was a wrestling ring set up in the party stand where a local lad and fat fella from bolton were fighting
