Can't see anyone bar Tendulkar consistently scoring runs vs Ashwin
I was just looking at bowlers track record to run through good batting sides in SC conditions.

Mcgrath - Did not have ability to do so, his track record shows it despite playing lots of games. He is simply not going to run through batting sides in SC.

Ambrose - Does not have a track record and did not play in India to begin with. I won't assume that he would have done this or that.

Wasim - Against good sides, he is the best bet due to his skills for this but he does not have that great record against good sides in general at home.

Warne - Yes, India during his time made him look silly, We can assume that he may do better in general but again an assumption.

Ashwin/Steyn/Bumrah will be my pick over any 3 bowlers from second XI in SC as a package. Difference in bowling becomes just too big in SC conditions with these bowlers. Cummins not in same class in SC, but not bad as well.

That's an exaggeration. I said SC, it doesn't mean just Indian pitches.

And it's not like Warne would be a chump against the other lineup.

As for pace options, it's close but McGrath, Ambrose and Wasim to me match up somewhat well with Steyn, Bumrah and Cummins.
Agreed because last i checked Bangladesh, SL and Pakistan also count as the Sub Continent.

That was one series. Like seriously...
He himself said that flatter spinners troubled him much more... His way of playing spin was dancing down as he had great quick feet, Indian spinners don't do that.. It wasn't just a series issue, even at home he didn't do well against them for the same reason. He would have a similar issue with Ashwin
