If it's specifically for the SC the teams can be improved... But of the given teams the latter one wins... The bowling attack is just too good for the conditions, with Ashwin just too big of a weapon

That's an exaggeration. I said SC, it doesn't mean just Indian pitches.

And it's not like Warne would be a chump against the other lineup.

As for pace options, it's close but McGrath, Ambrose and Wasim to me match up somewhat well with Steyn, Bumrah and Cummins.

Even in SL and Ban... It's basically only Pak where Ashwin can be effectively neutralized

Lara didn't do great in India anyway and Ashwin vs lefties is the best match up possible... But maybe if some leftie can work it out, it's lara.... But I'll bet on Lara

weird preference...Steyn is the best flat wicket bowler here, McGrath a little behind, Bumrah is better on roads than Ambrose. Are you basing this on just Warne vs Ashwin?
