5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Can't wait to hear the inevitable 'India fought well but the better team won' comments

We should have buried them in 2 of the 5 matches and won this series comfortably

Can't get more humiliating than England winning this with a man down and without their captain. They're just teasing us, almost toying with us at this point

They'll weather this tiny storm and win this comfortably
You completely bottled your batting innings in Headingley should have scored 600+ in the first dig.

Then when you failed to do that should have set us well over 400 in the second.

We should have also batted to a draw at Edgbaston

I think we got caught between two minds, there was obviously no way we were ever going to chase that down, but chasing is so ingrained in us and we just have absolutely no experience of gritting it out for a draw, it was like asking them to put toothpaste back in a tube

We should've chased down 193 tho. That would've steered the series in a completely different direction.

It's crazy how when the pressure is on, this team crumbles massively.

Most of the series, we've dominated most of the days but when it matters, we've crumbled.

There's no positive takeaways from this series apart from a few good batting performances.

You cannot retain a coach who has lost 3 test series on the trot. Im not a fan of selecting all rounders who are not justifying their 'all-round' ability. Need a new think tank in red ball. Not these IPL mentors.

It’s very easy to say that you’ve crumbled, you were looking absolutely dead and buried and you’ve brought it back to the stage where it’s arguably 50-50. Elite level sport is tough!

Jaiswal, Nair and Gill got out cheaply (as sometimes happens), but I think ultimately England bowled very well at Lord’s, not sure I’d call that a bottle job

It should've never gone to that stage. Failing to defend 370+ scores twice in a row. When has this ever happened? This is unprecedented.

We've only staged 'comebacks' when the games are long gone. It's just delaying the inevitable.

This ain't over by a long shot yet. England can't get the ball off the square.
