3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Looks like no Atkinson tomorrow, as I figured.

I agree with above - I would play Bumrah in third and fourth Test since there is a break between the two, unless Bumrah ends up bowling a very significant number of overs.

Pretty sure Bumrah will play 3rd and 4th and depending on the results as well as length of 4th test, he may even play the 5th if possible. They could even play him in a 4 man attack at the oval so fingers crossed that he doesn't have to skip anymore tests.

Bumrah not playing the fifth test will be like the climax of a movie played without the hero. Bumrah himself won't be fine with playing 4th and skipping 5th. Think they would have decided to play him for tests 1,3,5.

If India get to the 5th Test needing a win, nobody is telling me Bumrah isn’t playing, he’s a professional cricket player not a delicate flower

He barely moves the ball nowadays according to experts, but he has the Lord's slope to work with in this test.
Whenever I've seen him bowl in the last 12 months I'd say he moves the ball more than I remember, just now he generally shapes it in as his stock delivery. Coincidentally, there's a certain number 4 who is thought to have a slight weakness to the ball coming back in. A weakness that was exposed in the IPL where Jofra had dismissed him 3 times in 14 balls at the time he cleaned him up in the RR-GT match. Jofra nipping the ball down the slope at >90mph is gonna cause Gill all sorts of problems. Hopefully.

I hope there is a bit of movement in the deck. I think I've said it elsewhere. I know the Bazball approach, but even so you would have thought India's batters would be a lot more vulnerable to sideways movement.

First day of a Lords test in a big series, there's nothing better in sport. Properly excited for this.

This is a bat first day all day. Pitch looks beautiful for batting. If Stokes bowls first I'm going to explode.

they have taken all the grass off! This is so disappointing. We better not see scores in excess of 400/450/500 again 8-) It's just not fun seeing batters dominate so much in test cricket. We already have T20 for it ffs
