Some good turn out of the rough. I would love to see Jadeja bowling with a slip, leg slip, silly point and short leg here. Keep a catcher at deep square leg for the sweep and attack the rough.

Jadeja is an experienced enough cricketer to know that regardless of team instructions, batting ~40 strike rate for an hour in that situation is really not acceptable though.

Yeah he is experienced but he is not skilled at strike rotation. He is very much a block/bash batsman and at that point, based on what he was told, the best thing he could do was block, perhaps. I agree he could have done more but that is more because of his talents than anything else IMO.
