Australia A squads for the Indian A tour in September. Performance in this series is not likely to sway selection much for the Ashes given the difference in conditions and younger players have been preferred to get some experience in Indian conditions for the 2027 tour.

Players from the four day squad not included in the one day squad are left out so they can make it back for the Shield round on the 4th Oct.

Australia A four-day squad

Yeah not brilliant that

Found a stream though. Will Prestwidge opening the batting is certainly an interesting move

EDIT: and he departs right as I posted that

Semis for this today. Strikers academy just managed to scrape through after the Stars academy lost to the previously winless ACT team (bahahahaha, sucks to suck I guess)

Nice ton for Harvey last time out which was good to see. Little bit bemused about the team selections though, played all 4 frontline pacers last game but Stockdale didn't get a bowl, seems strange to pick him if he wasn't going to be used as he has no particular batting renown to speak of at least as far as I have seen

Not sure if there are some injuries I am unaware of?

Sad, but unfortunately not massively surprising considering Morris having a history of back issues. Massive Ashes blow is overselling things a bit imo, realistically he would have been about 6th in line at best, but my main hope is just that this surgery works for him.

Anyway, Top End T20 final well underway. Not the greatest start so far

When fit how many years would you make him wait before he is considered for an Australian squad again? 3? 4? Decade?
I mean if he plays a whole year without injury there's no reason why he should be ignored if he's good enough. I do think he's over-rated in some quarters though.

I think he's taking the piss out of GAS but I don't know how or why
Best guess is he's still pissy that I was opposed to Konstas being in the Test team after his lack of FC experience and success so has decided to go full strawman and blatantly exaggerate my view to an immense degree

But yeah, in reality I pretty much agree with morgieb 100% with what he said
