Bangladesh have won their match against Malaysia. The win was handsome although it was a poor batting display from Bangladesh. Lost 7 wickets on their way to 150 and not one batsman could reach the 50 mark. They have to bat better if they want to get into the final. Again bowling seems to be the strength of this side.

Expanding to 12 and then 16 teams would be going too fast. An tournament of 8 will also have many issues as in the pool games there most of the matches will be frowned upon. Rather it should be a 8 team knock out tournament

QF2:- BD V Afg
QF3:- Ind V Oman

SF1:-Winner QF1 V Winner QF2
SF2:-Winner QF3 V Winner QF4
Final
or an alternative can be at 9 Team Tournament
Group A:-SL,UAE,Oman
Group B:-Ind,Afg,Hong Kong
Group C:-Pak,BD, Nepal
Top team from each group reach Group D
Winner group A, B & C and top 4th team (Based on pts, then Runrate)

I think the tournament u mentioned will be too confusing n more over not enough competition between teams. If u see my format. Most matches have a chance of upset. Nepal & Afghanistan are capable of upsetting Bangladesh. While in group B UAE & Hong Kong are capable of upsets too especially being T20 format. Even if the 1st tournament is not competitive it will become more more n more competitive as it progresses.

Omg that was soooo close. Srilanka almost lost there. Survived with 2 wickets left chasing 73 & 7 balls left. Cricket is becoming more n more competitive with lots of nations showing challenge with very little resources. Test Nations just should notice this & help them. If they manage to help Cricket will be a global sport in no time.

Let China Host a Test Match ... Finger Spinners get to turn the ball quite a bit in these pitches, the women too were getting turn.
If anything Steal one of these Chinese Curators and let them create Test Pitches in the Subcontienient
These are not Ideal T20 Pitches but it's entertaining. Bangladesh stuggled to reach 150, Sri Lanka were 72/8 or something like that ... very refreshing.

Got the weather for it. Its winter in Beijing, yet it hasn’t rained since autumn and the weather is no worse than Britain in May. Cosmopolitan cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen could host international cricket and get relatively decent crowds if targeted/marketed right. If not, then the Chinese government can help in shipping in rent-a-crowds.
Hong Kong should have been doing this kind of stuff a lot time ago but the ground currently used for the HK Sixes isn’t up to standards. A forward defence goes for 4 there. Far too small.

Bangladesh wins gold! It was a very very good final and Afghanistan gave Bangladesh a very good run for their money. At a stage they even looked like pulling off a victory. But a cameo innings in the end from Roman saved the day for Bangladesh. Naeem also kept his head and played an important innings.
I really feel sorry for Afghanistan though. They gave it everything and fought bravely till the very end. I was really impressed with the fast bowler Hamid Hasan. He hardly gave anything away. That guy has potential.
But it's a historic day for Bangladesh, the country's first ever gold medal in the Asian Games. A proud moment for all Bangladeshis.
