Tried that a year ago or whenever the upgrade came out, switched back within a day. Couldn't stand all this "new tab" lark and non-existant standard-buttons, and other "new" features. I'm fine with IE6 thanks very much.

Likewise hate the latest version of WMP.

Didn't seem to give me any choice. Either way I'm sure there was plenty more about it that I thought was inferior to this one. Mercifully I've forgotten whatever it was. Hopefully I'll never remember again.

Been getting quite a lot of similar types of messages whilst trying to access the site using firefox, though a quick refresh usually sorts out any problems.

And Ftr I find tabs on IE7 to be quite useful as well.

Why people use IE to start with is beyond me, but to not even use the latest available version is just dumb afaic. RE: the Tabs, all you would have had to do is alter the settings so it automatically opens new links in a new window as opposed to the new tab. That said, preferring having windows all over the shop, compared to 1 window a few tabs seems silly to me.

Why? There's no need to use something that doesn't enhance your usership and in fact lessens it.

I've never really used any other browser all that often besides IE, but can't see how using a different one would make a huge difference to my usage of the Internet. Try Firefox from time to time in work, not much cop tbh

I fail to see how anything that gives so many ridiculous errors (which has been my experience with anything IE) enhances usership.

Well I can't say I've had any remotely intolerable amount of ridiculous errors TBH. I can read web-pages (when they're available obviously - not when the site in question is down) and that's all I want to do really.

Can't see how tabs are anything but a good thing, especially for someone like Richard who probably would have a pretty big need to have a decent amount of tabs up at one time. I almost never just have one window with one tab in it.

I sometimes use separate windows, but never have more than 2 IEs open at the same time.

Tabs just seem to be to be a needless complication, even if there is some way to disable them I just don't see the point. IE7 offers nothing that IE6 doesn't - and it looks far worse IMO.

Don't need tabs, been using Alt + Tab for years. Worst thing about IE7/Firefox's tabs is that it takes over the Ctrl+Tab shortcut i use to get to the address bar for its tab switching.

IE6 ftw.

Yeah IE7 is fine, can't see why anyone would complain about it.. Does everything you ask of it, can use tabs or not.. To be honest if you are getting error messages all the time then maybe you've been doing a bit too much checking out of the ol' Russian Porno sites..
