Reckon all should the games should be at default or it becomes too complicated.

I'm assuming this is 4-day cricket.

    match 1

    Cook
    Trescothick
    Pujara 5 (aggression 1)
    R Taylor
    J Taylor
    Broom
    Haddin
    Broad 1
    Chapple 3
    Friend 2
    Cameron 4

bowlers on 6-7 aggression early on, then down to 4.

batting aggression 6 throughout unless 3+ wickets in 5 overs, in which case down to 3 for the next 10 overs or so.

    match 2

    Trescothick
    Barath
    Pujara 5 (aggression 1)
    R Taylor
    J Taylor
    Broom
    Bairstow
    Broad 3
    Chapple 1
    de Wet 2
    Randiv 4

    much the same aggression rules.
    Messi scores on the rebound.

    8 L Butterworth (3)
    9 P Siddle (2)
    10 A Mendis (4)
    11 K Roach (1)

Bowl Mendis for long spells with the other bowlers in support.

No other specific tactics for the trial games.
Above lineup for Game 1. For Game 2, I will select the following:

    1 S Jayasuriya (5)
    2 A Puttick
    3 A Prince
    4 C White
    5 M North (6)
    6 U Akmal
    7 N Pothas (WK)
    8 R McLaren (3)
    9 B Hilfenhaus (2)
    10 A Mendis (4)
    11 K Roach (1)

    Same tactic as Game 1.

    6. Angelo Mathews (6)
    7. Shahid Afridi (5)
    8. Graeme Swann (4)
    9. Naved Ul Hasan (2)
    10. Vinay Kumar (3)
    11. Mark Davies (1)

Still haven't decided on a final XI yet, but hey, a trial would be good.

Mathews & Hussey to be used as partnership breakers. Give Vinay some old-ball overs, take the new ball with Davies & Naved.

Vinay is the nightwatchman. Use him if there's less than 5 overs left in the day, for any of the top 7, including Afridi.

Declare in the first innings if we get over 550. Do what you think is best on the second innings, preferably later than earlier.
For the second trial, please select:

    1. Dean Elgar
    2. Dinesh Chandimal
    3. Mahela Jayawardene*
    4. David Hussey (7)
    5. Andrew Symonds (5)
    6. Angelo Mathews (6)
    7. Adam Gilchrist+
    8. Graeme Swann (4)
    9. Vinay Kumar (3)
    10. Daryl Tuffey (2)
    11. Steven Finn (1)

Same tactics, only with Finn & Tuffey opening the bowling.
And we still haven't walked in the glow of each other's majestic presence.

Basic agression settings for batsmen to start with.
Up a notch when the score 50 runs and each subsequent 50 runs.

8 out of 10 for first bowlers of each spell, 7 out of ten hereafter. Duminy to bowl only if things are going awfully.

    Declare when sensible, no nightwatchman.

    Game 2:

    1. Rilee Rossouw
    2. Phil Jaques
    3. Ajinkya Rahane
    4. Manish Pandey
    5. Virender Sehwag [6]
    6. Uday Kaul [Wk]
    7. Mohammed Mahmudullah [5]
    8. Ravindra Jadeja [4]
    9. Chris Woakes [3]
    10. Dillon du Preez [2]
    11. Sadaf Hussain [1]

Sehwag started out as a lower middle order batsman who bowls a bit in his career, should be fun to see him bat at #5 again. Need to check how Rilee does as an opener too. Hence the changes.

    Aakash Chopra(vc) -2
    Tamim Iqbal - 7
    Kane Williamson - 5
    James Hildreth - 4
    Inzamam Ul-Haq - 4
    Steve Davies(wk) - 5
    Murali Karthik - 3
    Pankaj Singh -2
    Deepak Chahar - 2
    Sreesanth - 2
    Imran Tahir -3

Bowling aggression - 8, Never declare. No nightwatchmen.

Same team for both trials. I'm leaving out sure picks so I can try all the others out, not aspiring to come close to winning these.

    Thanks.

The batting aggression is beside the player names. I want Praveen and Sree to open the bowling with Chahar for first change. I want the spinners to be introduced after the 18th over.

    EDIT:-Changed the team a little.
