    Shahid Afridi

I think he is capable of those quick 20's and 30's, but unfortunately they have been more and more rare lately. I think gone are the days when you can expect him to come out and make a quickfire 60-80 every now and then. But if he focussed a bit more on his batting, those quick 20's and 30's...

Who would be the better captain

Would have to be Steve Waugh.

Misbah didn't really play that bad

Misbah was half doing the right thing. Yes, he was meant to play the anchor, whilst the others scored around him. HOWEVER, he did NOT take singles/rotate the strike, which meant he played out FAR too many dot balls. If he was taking singles, and giving the strike to the likes of Akmal, Razzaq...

    Indian Discussion

Munaf Patel doesn't at all look like he is going to get a wicket. India really need to bring in either Nehra or Sreesanth against Pakistan

Which team beat Australia more convincingly ?

One would argue that Pakistan won with 54 deliveries in hand, whilst India only had 14

Best Test batsman to play 15<x<30 tests in modern times

Jesse Ryder is still playing though... I forgot about Kambli, he would have to be right up there

Best Test batsman to play 15<x<30 tests in modern times

Everyone goes on about the best test batsman ever, and it's always Don Bradman, followed by a long list of almost equal players, who all have a claim to the number 2 position. What would be interesting though, is to see who everyone rates to be the best batsman in the modern era (let's say...

Best all time XI for each country

Best all time XI for each country

I don't know enough about past england or west indies players prior to the 80's to really make a team, but would love to see someone elses to compare

Best all time XI for each country

Waugh made his runs against the likes of Ambrose, Walsh, Akram, Younis, Donald, Pollock etc. on tough batting wickets. Punter made his runs against Chris Martin, Stuart Broad, Ashish Nehra etc. on flat tracks. I'm not saying Ponting isn't a good batsman, but Waugh did it against much tougher...

Best all time XI for each country

Which team would win? I've put together three teams so far Australia Victor Trumper Arthur Morris Don Bradman Alam Border Steve Waugh Keith Miller Adam Gilchrist Shane Warne Dennis Lillee Craig McDermott Glen Mcgrath 12th: Bill O Reilly / Ricky Ponting India Sunil Gavaskar Vijay Merchant...

a team of players from 1995-2010 can beat any other.

I would have Steve Waugh at 5 over Lara. Lara's game is not suited to number 5, whilst Steve Waugh is possibly the best number 5 ever. I'd also take Lara over Ponting at 3. Again, Lara made his runs against top quality bowling...

a team of players from 1995-2010 can beat any other.

It's no surprise that guys like Matthew Hayden and Justin Langer, who were decent batsman early in their careers, suddenly became superstars in the 2000's. I'm not saying it wasn't down to their hard work as well, but the pitches and quality of bowling certainly helped.

a team of players from 1995-2010 can beat any other.

Bowlers these days are useless, pitches are totally flat.. It's a batsman's paradise wherever you go. Sehwag would be useless if he was playing in the early 90's

Rahul Dravid - What would you do? Is he still one of India's 6 best batsman?

This. He is not performing at all. He needs to go back to the domestic circuit and start making runs before he is brought back into the side. Murali Vijay looks like a man for the future, and should be given an extended run in the side now.

Rahul Dravid - What would you do? Is he still one of India's 6 best batsman?

2-3 years. My whole argument is that older players are 'retired' far too quickly, as soon as they lose form. They aren't given the same chance an older 20 something year old player would be given. Physically, Dravid is in great shape. He can bat long innings, has immense concentration and is...

Where in the world is Zulqarnain Haider?

During the Woolmer inquiry, they found the pestacide on the wine bottle, and all sorts of other things that strongly suggested something was wrong. ( i don't recall details anymore) Next thing you know, they come out and say it was of natural causes. I don't believe it, and think perhaps the...
