Absolutely buzzing here after Leeds performance last night. The atmosphere inside the ground was unbelievable, going to be an interesting end to the season. #Inbeilsawetrust

    ***Official*** County Cricket 2019

Glad with the signing of Olivier but it feels like we are colluding in the decline of Test cricket. Having lost Plunkett & Brooks we needed a quality recplacement. Coda, Olivier & Patterson . One of Bresnan, Fisher, Pilans, Shaw, Willey or Waite to take the other place. A decent batsman & we...

    ***Official*** English Football Season 2018-19

It just seems madness that one of the officals can stand at the side of the pitch with a board showing a substitution to be made & the on-field player can simply ignore it. If rumours are to be believed Sarri has lost the dressing room, transfer ban for the next 2 windows & may not qualify for...

    ***Official*** English Football Season 2018-19

The Kepa situation yesterday was nothing short of farcical the unacceptable face of modern football. Showed no respect for his manager but did show a huge amount of arrogance. The dressing room at Chelsea must be in total disarray & it's clear there's player power afoot. Apparently a player is...

    5 weeks to go

I wouldn't have thought so. As I said elsewhere I met him during our game at Taunton last year & he's a lovely gentleman was clearly popular in the dressing room but he just can't seem to cut it at county level. He failed at Notts in 2017 as well.

Talking of out grounds back in 1968 during our championship win the games were played at. Headingley - Leeds North Marine Road - Scarborough St Georges Road - Harrogate Park Avenue - Bradford Acklam Park - Middlesbrough Bramall Lane - Sheffield The Circle - Hull Lords - St Johns Wood FP...

    5 weeks to go

I think we were lucky last season if I'm honest not to be relegated. We have some good youngsters coming through the likes of Harry Brook (20) Matt Fisher (22) Ben Coad ( 25) James Logan ( 21 ) Josh Shaw ( 23) Jarred Warner ( 22) Jordan Thompson (22) but we will miss Brooks & Plunkett as well...

Next season it's my intention to finish the the grounds I still won't have done Durham, Gloucestershire & Sussex. Also to bag a few more out grounds ( it's the anorak in me  )

*Official* Sri Lanka Tour of South Africa 2019

Really pleased for Sri Lanka but also a little disappointed in South Africa. So many of their players underperformed such as Markram, Elgar, Amla, De Kock, Radaba & Steyn, you would think with players of this calibre they would have beaten the Lankan's easily.

Pujara is an ATG batter (or) how long should a career last before it is judged?

What a fabulous protege I thought he was I saw him back in 2016 get back to back centuries in the Roses game at Old Trafford, the only player in the history of this historic fixture to do this feat. Sadly it's gone downhill for him since, hopefully we will see him back to his best sooner than later.

Pujara is an ATG batter (or) how long should a career last before it is judged?

Mr Pujara, great Test player but certainly can't hack it in the English County Championship. He managed just 100 runs in eight innings last season for Yorkshire at an average of just 10. At Scarborough last season versus Surrey he faced 42 balls without scoring. Met him at Taunton, lovely guy...

    100 Over game

George Dobell said on cricinfo yesterday that the BCCI is unlikely to release any Indian players for this, CPL is a potential clash & other tours are scheduled during 2020 at the same time as the tournament. There's also talk of England players only appearing once or twice. My question is who is...

    100 Over game

The whole format is nothing short of shambolic, Graves will bully anyone to attempt to get this farce off the ground. His latest bully boy tactics are telling Surrey they won't have any games at the Oval. I don't know anyone that wants the competition take place.

CricketWeb decides the Greatest Players Post World War I

The player I would have loved to have seen was Hedley Verity. He played for Yorkshire & England between 1930-1939. A slow left arm orthodox bowler he took 1956 wickets in first class cricket at 14:90 & 144 wickets for England at an average of 24:37. In 1931, his first full season he achieved the...
