She always had good skills, but she was too conservative. Now she is being aggressive, she is scoring like the best of them.

What parts of the game would you like to see return to modern cricket?

Warnie would target the stumps, but batters pads got in the way. I really don't understand how it could be interesting if he hits the stumps but boring if he got an LBW from a batter sticking his leg in the way.

What parts of the game would you like to see return to modern cricket?

I don't watch hockey, but if abolishing the offside rule was such a dud idea, they would have brought it back.

What parts of the game would you like to see return to modern cricket?

The last Ashes series had a constant barrage of short pitched bowling with a stacked onside. That was incredibly boring. No I haven't batted against a leg spinner. I can't understand how Warnie bowling someone around the legs is exciting, but Warnie getting an LBW from outside leg is boring...

What parts of the game would you like to see return to modern cricket?

I don't believe there is a blindspot if a right arm bowls around the wicket to a right hander. There is nothing stopping the batter from opening their stance Chanderpaul style. If scoring is restricted to the onside, authorities could amend the laws to restrict the number of onside fielders...

What parts of the game would you like to see return to modern cricket?

Already umpires must make a decision if contact was outside off and no stroke played. If teams are limited to 3 unsuccessful DRS appeals per innings they will use them wisely. I cannot see any logic in the rule about hitting in line with the stumps. If you are left arm around, hitting in...

What parts of the game would you like to see return to modern cricket?

If it was 160 overs per side, if India used 40 in the first innings, they still have 120 for the second innings.

What parts of the game would you like to see return to modern cricket?

Yes it would change the balance between bat and ball. What is wrong with that? Having less draws is a good thing. Bowlers will bowl at the stumps. What is wrong with that? Batters have a bat. They should be using it instead of their pads. If bowlers bowl outside leg, batters just need to...

Believe it or not, Australians believe in fair play. We hold ourselves to a higher standard.

Can't agree with those. We lose one over from rain and there is no result? As to DRS, the moment your team gets a dud decision, you will be the first person asking for DRS.

What parts of the game would you like to see return to modern cricket?

Please argue the case for the current law. Do you really believe batters will start padding up to balls striking them just outside off knowing they could be out LBW. Are balls pitched outside leg really negative? Warne's most celebrated wickets were pitched outside leg. Was that negative...

Really? It was premeditated by bringing the sandpaper to the field. Worse than just picking the seam. What I don't understand is why you are allowed to shine it on your pants, but not do other stuff. Logically, if you have pants made of sandpaper, why can't you rub the ball on that?

Do you really believe the 3 of them hatched this plan and didn't discuss it with anyone? Why would they keep it a secret?

Sandpapergate was not limited to Smith, Warner, Bancroft. How could Starc not realise the ball is swinging more? Utterly ridiculous to think only those 3 knew. I'm sure the whole team knew.

    Unpopular Cricket Opinions

In a tied series, the trophy goes to the away team, not the holders of the trophy. Steve Waugh is overrated. Tests should be limited over.

What parts of the game would you like to see return to modern cricket?

Not sure about old rules, but these are the new rules I would like. I would prefer limited over tests. There should be no umpire's call in DRS. Should be a free hit for no balls in tests. LBW shouldn't worry about where the ball pitched or if the batter was struck in line.

The women keep asking for 5 day tests because two thirds of tests end in draws. I would prefer to go down a different route. Have a 4 day limited over test. You get a result. More purposeful batting. Only 4 days. Of course nobody will do this as people are so conservative.

Congrats New Zealand. I hope nobody says South Africa choked. It is a zero sum game. Someone has to win, someone has to lose.
